The National Society of Allied Health (NSAH) is committed to developing the next generation of allied health leaders with expertise in education, administration, advocacy, research, professional practice, and service delivery. In support of this mission, the NSAH Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2026 NSAH Student Scholarships.

These prestigious awards recognize outstanding students who demonstrate leadership, academic excellence, and a strong commitment to the allied health professions. Scholarship recipients will be formally announced during the 2026 NSAH Annual Conference and Meeting.

To successfully carry out this initiative, NSAH works closely with designated scholarship representatives at each member institution. These individuals play a vital role in identifying and supporting eligible student applicants and ensuring the success of the scholarship process. Detailed information regarding representative responsibilities and scholarship criteria can be found in the accompanying documentation.

Pertinent Information for Designated Scholarship Representatives

  • Each member institution will be responsible for developing its own scholarship committee to determine scholarship award recipients (This process will be institution specific).
  • Applicants for the student scholarship awards will submit their applications online via Microsoft Forms.
  • After the March 1 deadline, the scholarship committee will distribute applications received online to the appropriate institution for its committee’s review.
  • Each member institution will determine its own institution’s Student Scholarship recipients based on the criteria set forth by NSAH Scholarship Committee.
  • The designated scholarship representative is asked to post all correspondence received from NSAH’s Scholarship Committee regarding NSAH’s Student Scholarships at the member institution.

General Information about NSAH Student Scholarship Award

  • Two- $500 Student Scholarships will be awarded to each Member Institution
  • Deadline for Application submission for the Student Scholarship Award- March 1st, 2026
  • Scholarship award recipients will be announced at the upcoming 2026 NSAH Annual Conference and Meeting- 2026 Recognitions’ Banquet

Information and Instructions for NSAH Student Scholarship

Make sure all of the following are checked before submitting scholarship application packets:

 

Eligibility Criteria- To be eligible applicant must be:

  • Undergraduate or graduate student admitted to the professional phase of an allied health professions program at a NSAH-Affiliated HBCU (Note: HBCU must be in good financial standing with NSAH. Nursing not included as it is not recognized as an allied health profession.)
    • Undergraduate Student- Minimum GPA 2.5
    • Graduate Student- Minimum GPA 3.0

Scholarship Packets must include all of the following to be considered:

  • A completed application by the specified deadline: March 1st
  • A brief statement of financial need and how this scholarship will assist your academic pursuits.
  • Transcript of college grades to verify the student’s GPA. For privacy reasons, social security numbers should be marked out. Electronic transcripts will be uploaded with your application. If there are any difficulties uploading any documents required in the online application, please email them to your designated scholarship representative.
  • Two signed letters of recommendation and completed Performance Evaluation Sheet (provided by NSAH):
    • One from a faculty advisor/member and
    • One from a non-family member (Must be uploaded with online application) (such as an employer, supervisor, coach, minister, or another faculty member).
  • All of the above requirements must be met for the application to be considered.
    • All packets must be sent on or before March 1st, no exceptions.
    • Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
    • Applicants for both the student scholarships will submit their applications online via Microsoft Forms. A QR code for the link has been provided on the announcement and NSAH’s website.
    • If there are any difficulties uploading any documents required in the online application, please email them to your institution’s designated scholarship representative.
